Chen Haibao, a painter born in 1966 in Gutian, Fujian Province, began to study painting in 1980 under the tutelage of Mr. Xie Guoqiang, Sr. and then entered the Fujian Normal University, where he began to engage in oil painting professionally in 1988. For forty years, Chen Haibao has been devoted to artistic creation and is a senior professional artist.
His works have been selected for various exhibitions, such as the 5th Fujian Youth Exhibition, the 1st Xiamen Original Heron, etc. In 2006, his work “Water Town” was collected by a local entrepreneur at a high price, in 2007 “Winter” was selected for the Cozy Haicang, in 2008 “Ancient Town” was selected for the 5th Fujian Youth Exhibition, in 2008 “Sunrise” was selected for the Xiamen International Ocean Week Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and in 2012 “Gulangyu” was selected for the 1st Xiamen Original Heron.
